DBB Ball Valves (Double block & bleed)

Double block & bleed ball valves are mainly suitable for the instrumentation but is also required as an alternative to the in-line installation of two valves.Thanks to a DBB ball valve, it is possible to have the same result reducing costs, overall dimensions and the ability to bleed off the plant, by controlling a potential leakage of the plant. Double block & bleed valves DBB are recommended for any pressure class and ensure long-lasting seal.They can be supplied both in the Trunnion and in the Floating version. These valves can be designed to meet with Customer's requirements: for instance, they may be buried in the ground and made operable by the extensions.Valves are built in any steel required by the Customer and defined in the data sheet according to the quotation request.

Double Block and Bleed Systems

The primary function of a double block and bleed system is for isolation and the secondary function is for intervention.Under certain conditions double block and bleed systems are needed to prevent product contamination or where it is necessary to remove essential equipment from service for cleaning or repairs while the unit continues in operation. Of course, such equipment must be provided with a spare or it must be possible to bypass it temporarily without shutting down the unit. The nature of the fluid, its pressure and temperature, and many other factors must be considered when determining the need for double block and bleed systems.
